Delete your data

This page explains how to delete your McLaren Visuals account and everything we hold, including any data connected from Instagram. It applies whether you are a paying client or just tried the free tools.

The fastest way — delete it yourself, in the app

1. Sign in at app.mclarenvisuals.studio/login
2. Open Plan & billing
3. Choose Delete my account
4. Type DELETE to confirm

It happens immediately, and it deletes your whole account directory rather than a list of files — your profile, your answers, your footage and reels, and the contact records of your customers. You do not need to ask us, and you do not need to explain why. The one delay is our encrypted backups, which roll off on a 14-day cycle.

What that deletes

• Your Instagram connection. The access token we were given is destroyed, so we can no longer read your profile or publish anything. You can also revoke us at any time from Instagram: Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites.
• Your voice. The recording you gave us and the synthetic voice made from it, including the copy held at our text-to-speech provider.
• Your footage and your finished videos stored on our servers.
• Your login — it stops working on every device, and the account cannot be recovered afterwards, including by a password-reset link.
• Your subscription is cancelled so you are not charged again.
• Your public page, if you had one, stops being served and stops collecting enquiries.

What it does not delete, and why

• Posts already published to your own Instagram account stay there. That is your account, not ours — we cannot reach into it. You can delete those posts yourself at any time, and saying otherwise would be a claim we could not keep.
• Billing records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. A business cannot delete its own financial records, and we would rather say so plainly.
• Opt-out records. If someone told us to stop contacting them, we keep a one-way hash of the phone number or email that opted out — nothing else about them. That record is what makes the opt-out stick, so deleting it would be the one erasure that could hurt the person it was meant to protect. It survives the account it came from.
• Encrypted backups for up to 14 days after deletion. A backup taken before you deleted still contains the account until it ages out on its normal cycle. We do not restore deleted accounts from them.
• A record that the deletion happened — the date, and that it completed. It holds no personal data beyond the account name, and it is how we can answer “did you actually delete it” a year later.

If you would rather we did it

Email xavier@mclarenvisuals.studio with the subject Delete my data, from the address on your account. We will action it and confirm in writing. If you cannot access that address, say so and we will verify another way.

We respond to deletion requests within 30 days, and in practice much sooner.

Never had an account?

If you only used the free page grader, or you appear in our public local-visibility index because your business is listed on public map data, email the same address and we will remove you. You do not need an account to ask, and we will not ask you to create one.
